A significant portion of our behaviour becomes an automatic response thanks to patterns. This allows the brain to conserve energy since it doesn't need to make constant decisions about every action. Studies show that in more than 50% of all daily activities, we rely on patterns. For some individuals, this figure can reach up to 95%.

Our conversations and interactions with other people also follow patterns. This may include routine questions, responses, gestures, and facial expressions used in communication. The topics in conversations, reactions to others' statements—these are primarily our patterns. To change the quality of communication, it's necessary to consciously understand how many and what patterns we employ.

Even when we strive for changes in life, our old patterns can persist for a long time. New patterns require time and effort to establish. In other words, every change in life is a change in neural connections, meaning a change in habit or pattern is a change on a physiological level. This is the reason why we fail when we try to make a change — we don't fully grasp that we are altering the physiology of our bodies when deciding to change certain reactions. Patience and willpower help in such cases.

Our decisions often stem from previous experiences and the outcomes of our behaviour patterns. Sometimes this can lead us to not even consider alternative options, subsequently leading to the repetition of events and missed opportunities. In an unconscious state, we make 90% of our decisions with the help of patterns. You can judge the result for yourself.

Stereotypes about people and groups are often based on observed behavior patterns. For example, rockers prefer riding motorcycles, drinking beer, and behaving rather rudely. Every lawyer dreams of buying a Porsche. It's important to remember that stereotypes can be unreliable and not always reflect individuality.

Our thoughts and beliefs also follow certain patterns. This can influence our emotional state and reactions to what is happening. 80% of all emotional reactions in daily life are a result of behavior patterns.

Some behavior patterns can arise accidentally and later become habits. For example, yawning or rubbing hands may be random actions that later become routine and the body's adaptation mechanism to a specific situation.

Behavior patterns are a unique mosaic that constitutes our individuality and determines how we interact with the surrounding world. Studying and understanding these patterns helps us better understand ourselves and others, as well as make more conscious choices in everyday life.
